A magnificent and simpler childhood than my boys currently have.

Coming home from Sunday morning football covered in mud, Mum cooking dinner with the radio on, the big match....then then once 5pm hit it was as depressing as hell with the shit tv programmes and school in the morning. Great memories, although more early 80's for me.

Some Sunday afternoons we would go to my parents brothers/sisters houses and they would just sit and chat for hours while we played with our cousins....do people still do that?

Running an 'errand' over the supermarket (Izzy Cohens, Stepney) to get whatever me mum was missing fm the Sunday dinner (tin of peas/stuffing/gherkins..).
Back over the park after the Big Match and dinner, to finish the 14-a-side game.
Then later, about tea time, when the old man had woke up, he'd send us over the sweet shop to get a 'block' and some wafers.
Then open a tin of what we hoped was peaches but sometimes turned out to be tomatoes/ravioli etc!). The tins were all dented with no labels from down the lane in the morning.

Listening to the charts on the transistor radio with a big fuck-off ariel.
Then trying to stay up and catch a glimpse of some thruppenys in Bouquet of barbed wire!
